I am a proud Trained Professional Organizer. What’s that mean? Well, that means I have trained under the POC (Professional Organizers in Canada). It really means that I know my stuff! Wondering what ‘stuff’ I’m referring to? I’m talking about knowing how to help you handle all the things causing you stress in your home. From handling your mail & papers to rearranging a room to flow better, to simply de-cluttering and creating homes for all the items you have or packing up your house for a move.
After many years of working in careers that just didn’t feel complete, I finally discovered what it is I was meant to do. I was meant to help others with their ‘stuff’! In my teenage years, working as a cashier at a grocery store, I had low productivity numbers but always had a happy long line up. Regular customers would wait the extra few minutes for my services of stacking the items rung through in a neat and delicate way; not to crush their bread or bruise their fruit. Each month, I’d get called into the office and was told I needed to speed it up! In my 20’s and early 30’s, I discovered more about my likes and how I was really good with keeping things in order, finding solutions to any and all problems that came up in the small photography business I was working in. In 2006, my search was over. I finally figured out what I enjoyed doing… it was called organizing.
In 2007, I found the POC, joined their organization and started to work as a junior organizer with some amazing, inspiring ladies. I was in heaven. I couldn’t believe the joy & happiness from the clients after we finished a job! I saw that this was where I was meant to be. Seeing the relief on the client’s faces, watching their shoulders relax and the excitement of the new possibilities we’ve given them by helping them make decisions about their stuff, and by setting up systems to help them maintain this new thing called ‘being organized’ – Found It Organizing Solutions was born.
